California Divorce Mediation
Attorney at Law Vaijayanti M. Mondkar
When your family is going through a divorce, the thought of having to go to court over matters of alimony, division of assets, and above all, child custody, can be an intimidating prospect. You want to make sure that the process is handled fairly, but the idea of something as personal as family conflict being handled in such a public arena as a courtroom with judges and lawyers is disconcerting. Additionally, attorneys can make a difficult situation even more adversarial.
At California Mediations, we help families through this difficult process by acting as a neutral intermediary who can help you resolve your issues in a private, caring environment. Contact Vaijayanti M. Mondkar and find out if California divorce mediation is the right option for you.
I approach each mediation session with intuition, respect, and compassion. At a time when feelings are raw, I look beyond the impersonal aspects of the law and focus my attention on sensitively responding to the emotions of all parties. Because of this, I create an environment that allows for clarity, resolution, and empowerment.
An important aspect of my practice is that I am trained as an attorney. Although I act as a neutral facilitator—never representing one of the parties—my legal background allows me to handle the complex legal aspects of child custody, property division, and spousal and child support. Mediators who are not trained in law may allow parties to make agreements that violate these rules and are not enforceable in court.
I have a broad experience with different cultures and can mediate to bring about resolution in cases that involve cross-cultural conflict. I help people of all cultures resolve disputes, and have translation services for a number of languages, including Hindi, Urdu, Farsi, Dari, and Spanish.
My office is ideally suited to bringing parties together to resolve family law issues such as:
Child Custody
Parenting Time (“Visitation”)
Spousal Maintenance (“Alimony”)
Child Support
Valuation and Division of Material Assets and Debt
Modification of Existing Support and Custody Orders
I also mediate in Collaborative Law situations where a team of attorneys and therapists mediate a divorce settlement out of court.
